Timothy Falconer

Timothy Falconer is a software developer and Lotus expatriate who worked on several of the administration features in Notes and Domino R5. He left Lotus in 1998 to start Immuexa Corporation, makers of Tidepool and Storymill, along with custom-built software and websites.

He's got a degree from Lehigh rolled up somewhere in the attic, and a few decades of pizza and programming experience under his belt. Most days, you'll find him running after his toddler co-worker, Isabel. He spends all his free time with his wonderful wife, Paula.

"One of the things that pollutes a lot of computer use in schools is a heightened sense of vocationalism. Parents are concerned about whether their children are going to get jobs, and so they really want the schools to train the kids. But my belief is that the training part is kind of like driver's ed: It takes about as long to learn how to use a computer as it takes to learn how to drive a car, maybe less. So it's not something you really want to pin twelve years of school on."
